Welcome to Downtown Las Vegas

Downtown Las Vegas is the city's central business district and was once its core gaming district too, prior to the development of The Strip.

Downtown is part of a revitalization effort and is soon to be home to Symphony Park, one of the largest urban redevelopments in the country.

Currently being developed by the City of Las Vegas, this 61-acre mixed-use urban community will be located in the heart of Downtown.

This new community is home to some of Las Vegas’ largest economic, cultural, and civic projects, including a park of the same name, Symphony Park, the two-acre open space core. The $6 billion project is also a green development, with all buildings expected to follow LEED construction guidelines.

Symphony Park Rendering

The master plan for Symphony Park identifies four distinct districts, organized in a series of small urban blocks with pedestrian-friendly accessibility and featuring street-facing retail and restaurants throughout the community.

The four districts are: the Civic District (includes The Smith Center for the Performing Arts and the park), the Specialty District (plans for a wide range of hospitality, specialty retail, a hotel-casino), the Residential District (true urban neighborhoods with a mix of high-rise, town homes, live/work condominiums and mid- and low-rise residences) and the Medical Office District.

Symphony Park Will Feature:

  • 3,100 residential units
  • The Charlie Palmer, a 400+ room boutique, non-gaming condo-hotel
  • Forest City, a 1000-room casino-hotel
  • The Lou Ruvo Brain Institute, designed by Frank Gehry,
  • The Smith Center for the Performing Arts
  • 2,200,000 sq ft of Class A office space
  • 469,000 sq ft of ground-floor retail space
  • 15,800 parking spaces contained within vertical structures
  • New city hall
  • 57-story World Jewelry Center, featuring jewelry trade shows from around the world
  • Discovery Children's Museum
